Michael is an attorney and musician licensed to practice in Montana and Wisconsin. He began his law career in 1987 when he attended law school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He graduated in 24 months in the top 25% of his class, and moved to Montana shortly thereafter.

In 1990, Michael began working for the Department of Environmental Quality as a staff attorney. In 1997, Michael became a registered lobbyist and opened his own law practice, where he has worked for government and private clients alike.

In addition to the Montana and Wisconsin State Bars, Michael is also licensed by the United States Patent Bar, and is a member of the American Bar Association. A member of numerous bands throughout the years, Michael is also a member of the American Federation of Musicians.

Michael lives with his wife in Helena, Montana.
